The FH bachelor's degree from a university of applied sciences also takes three years and tends to start slightly higher, with a faster route into management. Both permit direct patient care. Nurses qualified abroad need recognition from the Swiss Red Cross, which takes three to six months and sometimes an adaptation placement as well.
